BEIJING, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese mainland will spare no effort to help Taiwan compatriots who are stranded in Libya and in need of help, a mainland spokesman said Wednesday.

Yang Yi, the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office spokesman, made the remarks at a regular press conference.
