BEIJING, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese mainland's Taiwan affairs chief Wang Yi left Beijing for Japan on Wednesday morning, said a mainland spokesman here.
Wang, director of the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, will meet heads of the ruling and opposition parties in Japan as well as overseas Chinese living there, including those from Taiwan, said Yang Yi, the office's spokesman, at a regular press conference.
Wang, visiting the country under the invitation of the Japanese government, will also meet with people from all circles, Yang said. |
